Congratulations to this great team! So thrilled to see Still Dreaming’s success in his second career!

"This win means everything. This is a young horse that I bought a year ago and have been bringing along very slowly; I've tried to take my time and do everything really correctly. He really steps up in the show ring and never disappoints. He's got a great canter, jumps great, and it's just a real pleasure to ride him. Thoroughbreds have great minds, and I'll tell you what -- after being here all week, they can do anything!"

Congratulations to Charles Hairfield and Still Dreaming (Flatter - Seeking Gabrielle, by Forestry), your 2020 Show Hunter champions! This 2016 16.2 hand chestnut gelding was bred in Kentucky by Hinkle Farms, and was a $460,000 yearling purchase at Keeneland by West Point Thoroughbreds, Inc. He raced for West Point Thoroughbreds and Chris Larsen, trained by Herringswell Stables, Ltd's H. Graham Motion to seven starts, including two graded stakes, with two career wins and $63,140 in earnings. His last race was at Belmont Park. Success runs in the family -- this horse is a half brother to none other than Kentucky Derby winner Nyquist, who now stands stud at Darley.

The 2020 Show Hunter discipline is generously sponsored by Beyond the Wire. Many thanks to our presenting sponsor Thoroughbred Charities of America (TCA).

The Best Conditioned Award, sponsored by Nina Bonnie, was awarded to Black Tavish, trained by Debra Ward. The Thoroughbred Charities of America Award was awarded to Eloquent Ethel, trained by Stephanie Framer.

The Top Amateur, sponsored by Boehringer Ingelheim Equine Health, is First Commander, trained by Kathryn Jenkins. The Top Junior, sponsored by Norfolk Southern Corp, is Abatement (GB), trained by Reese Dorsey. The Top Team, sponsored by Equine Equipment - Manufacturers Discounts for the Horse World, is Jooter, trained by Team Key Equestrian.

Check out the new section on our website about Aftercare and read about several of the TBs we’ve helped retire, retrain and/or rehome recently!

We believe providing aftercare for thoroughbreds is vitally important, and we are committed to assisting horses we have bred, raised, or sold in their transition from racing or breeding. We work diligently to ensure these horses have a soft landing and whenever possible, the opportunity at a second....

We are so proud of Bourbon City and Sarah! Bourbon City was bred and sold by Hinkle Farms. When it was time for him to retire from racing we helped connect him with the magnificent Sarah Shade. Today he placed 8th out of 96 in the show jumper division at the Thoroughbred Makeover! Did we mention his last race was only 6 months ago?! Thrilled that his future is so bright! Thank you Sarah!

I am so proud of Bourbon City for finishing 8th out of 96 horses in the show jumping division at the Thoroughbred Makeover and National Symposium this week! Bourbon City was such a professional and is showing a tremendous amount of talent for the show ring in the future. Thank you to Hinkle Farms for pairing me with this super star, to McCauleys Feed for helping him grow into the horse he is now, and to Antares Saddlery for helping keep him comfortable and very well turned out. Thanks to all of my friends and family for their support!
