Wilshire Farm

Wilshire Farm We built a farm that offers a well bred TB every chance to become a racehorse. From the finest grass pastures to the most dedicated staff. Racing.

Welcome and thank you for visiting our page! Our farm holds so much history. Previously run as a thoroughbred farm by Peter and Diane Perkins. This is where Lord At War (grand sire of American Pharoah) stood from 1987 until his passing in 1998. Both he and Lady Winborne are buried on the property. Owned by Glenn Sorgenstein and Josh Kaplan of W.C. Managed by Charles and Lyra Miller, owners of the

adjoining Rosecrest Farm and birthplace to 2X Breeders Cup Dirt Mile winner Goldencents. The farms focus is raising the best possible thoroughbreds on some of the best soil and grass known to breeding industry. Mares, foals, weanlings, and yearlings, graze over sized pastures and individual paddocks. Our horse to acre ratio is one of the lowest in Central Kentucky. A state of the art Equinciser provides additional toning for yearlings. Our dedicated staff handles every horse daily. Feed programs, veterinary and farrier care are the foundation of our optimal health philosophy. Visitors are welcome on an appointment basis......
