In 1947, a great idea was born in a small Curtis Street house in Paris, Tennessee. Cedric and Mildred Knott saw an opportunity to use Mildred’s personal recipes to make and sell salad spreads and sandwiches. Pimiento cheese, chicken salad, ham salad and tuna salad – Mildred could make them all. It was then that Knott’s Foods began a commitment to quality and customer service that will soon celebrate 75 years. Cedric and Mildred’s work started at 2:30 a.m., when they began making their special recipes each day. Cedric would then load the sandwiches into his vehicle for delivery, so that area stores could serve their customers with fresh Knott’s goodness each day. In those early days, the Knotts could not have imagined how their little business would expand to provide dips, spreads and other items to appreciative customers across the nation. Their legacy of service and quality continues, as the Knott family leads a dedicated team less than a mile from that original home on Curtis Street. Give summer one last hoorah with these Jalapeno Popper Pigs in a Blanket and a Labor Day celebration.

What you'll need:
36 Little Smokies
2 Sheets Puff pastry
8 oz. Knott’s Jalapeno Popper Dip
½ Cup Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
5 Bacon slices
Garlic salt
Black pepper (To taste)
1 Egg

Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
2. Cut your crescent roll dough in half, creating 16 strips of dough and set aside.
In bowl, add the Knott's Jalapeño Popper Dip, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, and seasonings.
3. Cut each puff pastry into 6 equal strips, and then into 3 pieces, to make a total of
36 strips.
4. Spread a spoonful of the Jalapeño popper mixture on each piece of puff pastry.
5. Place a cocktail wiener on each piece and roll the puff pastry around it.
6. Brush edges with egg wash and seal well.
7. Place seam side down on parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
8. Brush tops of the puff pastry with egg wash.
9. Bake for 10-15minutes, or until golden. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
