It's about that time ...
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter in large saucepan. Stir in brown sugar and let cool 10 minutes. Stir eggs into the mixture. Add flour and stir. Add nuts, chocolate chips and stir. Spread into greased 9x13 pan. Bake 25-30 minutes. Cool. Cut in 2-inch squares.
2/3 cup butter or margarine
2 1/4 cups (1 lbs.) light brown sugar
2 2/3 cups self-rising flour*
3 eggs
1 cup pecans
2 1/3 cups (16 ounces) chocolate chips
* [Instead of self-rising flour, you may substitute 2 2/3 all-purpose flour, 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Sift together.]
