December 18 - National Gourmet Coffee Day

National Gourmet Coffee Day honors the artistry behind each roast and brew -from the farmer to your cup. Inspired by the success of National Coffee Day (which gained momentum around 2009) and the formal recognition of International Coffee Day in 2015, we wanted a day dedicated to the craft of coffee. While traditional Coffee Days celebrate the bean, Gourmet Coffee Day is all about the experience - the subtle flavors, the brewing rituals, the elevating of daily coffee into something luxe. Think of it as the upscale sibling to National Coffee Day.

☕Brown Sugar Cold Brew
Cold brew coffee gets an upgrade with sweetened cold foam, so you can start your day without hitting the drive-thru.
Ingredients
4 oz. cold brew coffee
2 tsp brown sugar or Gourmet Brown Sugar Syrup, divided
½ cup milk or milk alternative
¼ tsp ground cinnamon
⅛ tsp salt
ice

Directions
Combine the cold brew with 1 tsp of the brown sugar or syrup in a glass.
Add the milk, remaining brown sugar or syrup, cinnamon, and salt to the Electric Milk Frother. Set to Cold Foam and press start.
Add the ice to the coffee and top with the frothed milk.
Yield: 1 most satisfying serving

Cook's Tips:
If you’d like, you can use a cocktail shaker to combine the brown sugar and cold brew with ice.

Smart shopper: grab your brown sugar syrup and cinnamon TODAY, 12/18 while they are on sale!

Do you ever find your coffee in the bathroom, bedroom, office or even in the microwave later on in the day?
Give it a quick refresh in the electric milk frother.
I can guarantee you won't have a lonely half-filled coffee mug abandoned somewhere, but when you do find it, you can make it warm & delicious after a quick spin in the frother

Happy National Cocoa Day!!

Hot cocoa is a delicious, hot, chocolaty beverage typically made with cocoa powder, heated milk or water, and sugar.
Did you know Cacao's history began in the Amazon basin, used by ancient peoples like the Olmecs, Mayas, and Aztecs as a sacred, bitter drink (xocolatl) in rituals, currency, and medicine. Spanish explorers brought it to Europe (1500s), where sugar was added, turning it into a popular, sweet beverage for the elite. Industrialization (1800s) with inventions like van Houten's press and the steam engine made chocolate affordable and led to solid bars, transforming it from a luxury drink into the global confectionery we know today.

Happy National Pastry Day!!

National Pastry Day is celebrated annually on December 9th, a day dedicated to enjoying all kinds of baked goods, from flaky croissants and danishes to savory pies and tarts, honoring centuries of pastry-making art from ancient Egypt to modern France. It's a chance to indulge in sweet or savory pastries and appreciate the techniques that create these buttery, layered treats.

What it celebrates
Variety: From flaky puff pastry to rich shortcrust, all types of pastries are recognized.
History: A nod to ancient Egyptians and Greeks who created early versions with flour, honey, and nuts, evolving through medieval Europe with added fats like butter, notes this Facebook post.
Artistry: Highlights the skill of pastry chefs and bakers, like the famous French chef Antonin Careme, who perfected modern pastry.

How to celebrate
Visit a local bakery for your favorite croissant, eclair, or Danish.
Bake your own pastries, perhaps trying a recipe for puff pastry or pie crust.
Enjoy both sweet (like baklava) and savory (like empanadas or pot pies) options.

Happy National Chocolate Brownie Day!

Brownies emerged in the late 19th-century U.S., with stories pointing to Chicago's 1893 World's Fair and Bertha Palmer, who requested a portable dessert from the Palmer House Hotel chef, resulting in a chocolate square with apricot glaze, notes Cheryl's Cookies and Dello Mano. Early recipes, like one in the 1897 Sears, Roebuck and Co. catalog, used molasses; the first true chocolate brownie recipe appeared in the 1904 Service Club cookbook. The name likely came from Palmer Cox's popular "Brownies" characters, fitting the fun, new treat

Brownies can be enjoyed with many adaptations: nuts, chocolate chips, candy bits, fruit & more. What does your ideal brownie have - any add-ins, ice cream, fudge, or whipped cream?

Hey friends (especially in Colorado & Maine)...
In the new year, a regulation that affects the cookware industry will impact my customers in Maine and Colorado. Effective Jan. 1, 2026, a ban on nonstick cookware containing PTFE will prevent Pampered Chef from selling any products containing PTFE to hosts, customers, or consultants with a ship-to address in these states. Residents of Minnesota have seen this restriction as theirs went into effect Jan 1, 2025.

Since this affects me personally, I wanted to make sure you are aware of this change too. If you are considering purchasing our signature nonstick or brilliance cookware line or need a replacement, please let me know ASAP - the shipping cutoff is Dec 18!

(shopping link is in the comments if you just want to order)

These changes are industry-wide and not specific to Pampered Chef. Many cookware companies are navigating the same updates as states change their regulations.
What Is PTFE?
PTFE is a commonly used, food-safe, and durable coating that can give cookware lasting nonstick performance and is used on our:
*Signature Nonstick Cookware
*Brilliance Nonstick Cookware (not Brilliance Nonstick Bakeware)

You may have also heard PTFE described as a type of PFAS, which is a broad category of materials used in many consumer and industrial products. It’s important to note that PTFE is not PFOA, a different chemical that’s not considered safe.
**All Pampered Chef products are made without PFOA, and our cookware meets or exceeds federal safety standards.

Do you love cooking?

Welcome to my Pampered Chef page! I’m so happy you stopped by. I hope you’ll find some tips, products, and recipes to encourage you to make your meals at home and have special time with your family!

I asked the question above, do you love cooking? Well, do you? I can honestly say that I do not love cooking. Can you believe I said that?! I will also openly confess that I’m not a very good cook. So why am I a pampered chef consultant, you may wonder. I have discovered that if I am intimidated by something, the best way for me to overcome my hesitation is to dive headfirst into what is trying to stop me. And what better place to jump in than with a company that supports its consultants and customers by creating tools and products to make cooking quicker, easier, and more enjoyable. It is to my benefit to try new recipes and share my successes or failures. Plus, getting paid is a pretty good motivator to learn to enjoy something that has been a stumbling block to me!

There is a saying in this business, “I’m not a perfect chef, but I am a pampered chef”. Thanks for supporting me by being my friend, host, customer, or just an interested party. Can I help you become a pampered chef too?
