Yá’át’ééh! ✨

On June 7, the Miss Indian Arizona Court had the honor of attending the Arizona Diamondbacks Native American Recognition Day game against the Athletics at Chase Field.

Prior to the game, we joined fellow tribal royalty from across Arizona and beyond for a parade around the field. It was wonderful to see so many representatives gathered together in celebration of Indigenous cultures, communities, and traditions.

Following the parade, we enjoyed the game and spent time connecting with royalty, community members, and supporters throughout the event.

Ahéhee’ to the Arizona Diamondbacks for recognizing Native American communities and for hosting such a memorable day at Chase Field. ⚾♥️

The day is approaching and we are so excited for this event. Thank you to those who’ve RSVP’d and to a few of our former Miss Indian Arizona sisters.

If you didn’t RSVP, don’t worry! You are more than welcome as we do have on-site registration beginning at 8:30AM and the workshop from 9AM to 4:30PM.

It’ll be a great place to learn about the Miss Indian Arizona goals and expectations. Not only that, but to have the opportunity to hear first hand of the program criteria’s as participants, chaperones and/or volunteers.

We’re confident the 65th Miss Indian Arizona will be sitting amongst us at the workshop. Who will that be and which tribe will hold such an honor? Let’s see‼️ 😊🙌

Yá’át’ééh! This is First Attendant Chloe Eskey.

On May 29, I had the pleasure of attending the Pima Medical Institute Mesa Campus Graduation Ceremony to celebrate the accomplishments of students as they completed their educational journeys and prepared to enter their respective healthcare professions.

Having worked closely with many of these students throughout my time at PMI, this event held special meaning for me. From the beginning of their programs to the moment they walked across the stage, I had the opportunity to witness their dedication, perseverance, and passion for patient care. Seeing their hard work recognized and celebrated was truly inspiring.

Healthcare professionals play an important role in strengthening the well-being of our communities, and it was encouraging to see so many graduates prepared to make a positive impact through their chosen fields. Their commitment to learning and serving others will undoubtedly touch countless lives in the years ahead.

Congratulations to the graduates of Pima Medical Institute’s Class of 2026. I wish each of you continued success as you begin this exciting new chapter and pursue your goals in healthcare and service.

Ahéhee’ and best wishes to all of the graduates as you take your next steps forward. 🫶🏼✨

On Monday June 1st, I attended the first session of the Salt River WIOA Youth Program where I was asked to share my past and present experiences in tribal royalty, my education journey, and my employment journey. The summer WIOA program helps Salt River youth gain work experience in tribal government and departments.

I want to thank the WIOA program for inviting me and giving me an opportunity to speak with our youth. It was great the see how many students are participating and I hope they all have a great time learning hands on skills for career success. Sapo!

On Friday May 22nd, I attended a Memorial Day Remembrance Event held by Phoenix Indian Center at Steele Indian School Park where I was asked to sing the national anthem.

The event consisted of many speakers who actively take part in assisting our veterans in the Phoenix area. The keynote speaker was Melissa Tennant who talked about what led up to her enlisting in the Air Force. The event ended with a wreath laying ceremony to honor all those that lost their life in service. I want to thank for inviting me and giving me the opportunity to have a part in their program.

Memorial Day is more than just a holiday, it is a time for us to honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in order for us to enjoy the freedoms that we hold. Today, families gather across the nation to carry forth the memories of those who did not return home. We are grateful to those who continue their service around the world. I hope you have a safe Memorial Day as we will never forget the strength and courage of those who answered the call of service for our nation. Sapo!

On Wednesday May 20th, I attended the Salt River Elementary School 6th grade promotion ceremony held in the ALA Lecture Hall.

I was so grateful to be one of the keynote speakers and address both the students and their families. I spoke about how the transition from elementary school to middle school can be difficult but change is what makes us grow. I thanked all the families that came to support their students and encouraged them to keep showing up. To end, I told the students to keep learning and to dream big as they can accomplish whatever they set their heart and minds too with the full support of their families and community. I was also invited on stage to shake the hands of each student as they received their certificates. The ceremony ended with the students dancing and singing to The Going Home song.

I want to thank for inviting me and giving me a special part in their program. As a former student of SRES it was so heartwarming to be able to come back and speak to our future leaders and to see the growth and support they have. To the future class of 2032 I wish you all the best of luck on your journey, we are all so proud of you and we cannot wait to see everything you accomplish. Sapo!

On Saturday May 16th, I attended the 12th annual Casa Grande Union High School District Pow wow.

It was so great to see all those that came out to celebrate the graduating class. I loved seeing all the dancers and singers who shared their unique styles with us all. I want to thank the students, staff, and volunteers for their dedication in putting together this pow wow to honor their fellow students. Congratulations to the Casa Grande Union High School class of 2026! Sapo!

On Wednesday May 13th, I attended the 2026 Maricopa Community College District’s American Indian Convocation held at Salt River Fields.

The program started with the posting of the colors and I was asked the sing the national anthem. Following motivational words from several tribal leaders were 3 student speakers representing Pascua Yaqui, Navajo Nation, and SRPMIC. After was a performance by Bird Singing and Dancing By the River who shared their songs and dances with all present. Graduates then were called to walk across the stage as they were acknowledged for their dedication. Miss Native Mesa Community College and myself gave each graduate a shell necklace provided by the organizers as a small gift. To end were fireworks to celebrate the hard work and accomplishments of all those who graduated!

I want to thank SRPMIC Community Relations Office for inviting me and giving me a part in such a special ceremony for our indigenous scholars. This ceremony was made possible with the collaboration of several tribal nations, as well as MCCD faculty and staff. I would like to congratulate the class of 2026 and I wish them all the best of luck in their future endeavors. Sapo!
