Our little bantam lays the middle egg usually daily. However, today we found a fairy egg from her and it’s the smallest egg I’ve seen! Even had a teeny tiny yolk. A bantam is just a smaller version of a regular chicken breed. So she usually lays smaller eggs as you can see, but never this tiny!

We’ve gotten two fairy eggs the last few days. What is a fairy egg? The tiny egg in the picture is what we call a fairy egg. It’s usually from a new layer. It’s a practice egg of sorts. Most often it doesn’t have a yolk but it can. Just a fun natural fluke!
