Apparently, some of Wyoming’s most dangerous criminals have four legs. 🐑🐄🐂

At WY fresh Farm near Cheyenne, state inspectors zip-tied a freezer containing USDA-inspected Wyoming meat because the farmstand did not have a retail food license.

In Cody, Hippy Cow Creamery - the Hippy Herd was told it could sell raw milk... BUT could not froth that same milk into a latte without commercial licensing and pasteurization.

These actions were not prompted by reports of anyone being harmed. They were about government permission.

Wyoming’s Food Freedom Act was intended to give informed consumers greater access to wholesome, locally produced food from farmers and ranchers they know and trust.

BUT there is still work to be done to make that promise a reality.

If Wyoming ranchers raise it, an inspected facility processes it, and informed Wyoming consumers choose to purchase it, the government should not stand between them.

Let’s make Wyoming-raised meat legal again.

Let’s protect access to raw milk and locally produced dairy products.

And let’s make farmers markets places where Wyoming producers and consumers can exercise their right to grow, raise, sell, purchase, and consume the foods they choose.

It’s time to free the food... and make Wyoming Food Freedom Free Again! 💪
