I’ve started carving the trim for above the window. I hope this gives an idea of how it will look. If you look close you can see the long piece is sanded on the edge down all the way to the bottom. So it was almost 45 degrees before I sanded it. The short piece which is supposed to be in front only has the edge slightly rounded off. When it’s painted the difference in height will be accented and it will bring the short one to the front. At least that’s the plan. I really have no idea but it looked great in my mind. I’m hoping the real thing does too. So far I’m happy. 😎

I got a great deal on this 1942 Ford 9N tractor. It needs a lot of TLC. Long term project but I’m building the set. I now have these: 1942 9N, 1953 NAA or Jubilee, 1957 820 backhoe, 1958 Offset 841 Workmaster and a 1962 841 Workmaster. Plus I have my friend and neighbor’s 1951 Ford 8N here. The collection is growing!

Here’s a Sunday morning funny story for you. Joe Murphy in action! I got my tractor running and was clearing underbrush and making a new walking trail and cleaning up the old duck pond located up the hill. Eventually, refilling and rebuilding of the failed duck pond dam( it’s a tiny one with an 18” overflow pipe) will happen. There is about 2/10 of the trail on the house side of the duck pond and I got that all cleaned up this morning after church. I went around the other side of the swamp (aka duck pond), up the hill, and started working towards the dam from the other side. I had cut about 1/4 mile through the brush and had 15’ to go….disaster! I hit a buried hornet nest and oh hell, it was on! I bailed from the tractor and ran like hell! I left my phone, left the tractor running and ran away as fast as I could. Seriously folks, every second counts when you hit hornets. They will kill you before you can get away. As it was I got stung like hell 4 times anyway, once behind my ear! I told you, I was running away. 😎 I went back with 2 cans of 25’ wasp spray and sprayed them enough to shut the tractor off and get my phone. After 2 cans there are still hundreds flying around my tractor. Which is parked right on top of their hive. I figured that was a great place to park it and walked back to the house until they settle down. 😁And, after I go get more wasp spray. Just yesterday, I got the Benadryl cream I ordered on Amazon (4) tubes. How damn timely is that?! My neck and leg were on fire from the stings. Not anymore, the cream was right on time! How crazy for it get here right before I really needed it. Just another day on the farm. 😎
