There’s a pretty special family farm tucked away in Parlier that we think more people should know about.
Blossom Bluff Orchards (pictured here, isn't it stunning!) has been rooted in the same piece of Central Valley farmland since 1931. Today, the Loewen family grows nearly 100 varieties of organic fruit across roughly 80 acres...plums, peaches, pluots, persimmons, oranges, pomegranates, kiwi and more...with the fifth generation now growing up on the farm.
Their focus is flavor over shelf life, caring for the soil, wasting as little as possible, and continuing to find ways for a small family farm to thrive.
And their fruit is GOOD.
You can find Blossom Bluff at the Vineyard Farmers Market in Fresno on Wednesdays and Saturdays, along with farmers markets throughout California and even in some of your favorite local foods, including seasonal flavors at Ampersand Ice Cream.
We’re also pretty honored to be working alongside the Loewen family to complete a conservation easement on 54 acres of their farm, helping ensure this land can remain in agriculture for generations to come.
