Tomato transplanting day at Krause House Farms!

We’ve doubled our tomato production for 2026.

We seed our tomatoes densely (500+) in a flat then separate the pups and transplant them into individual tear-away pots.

From seeding to transplanting, we exclusively use Man of the Red Earth seedling mix and Stupor Soil. Their products have guaranteed our success over the years and will for you too! Look for their soils at Ferndale Market later this month.

All your heirloom tomato favorites going in at the farm with lots of transplants available for you at month’s end. Our tomato transplants will arrive at Ferndale Market the last weekend in March and first weekend in April.

Hoping to squeeze in a straw bale gardening class this month, too! Will keep y’all posted.

This summer’s tomato harvest has been nothing short of spectacular!

Don’t miss out on one of summer’s greatest treats.

Come see this tomato along with hundreds of her friends at Ferndale Market.

Ferndale Market is open today 11-4. Lunch is Chef Ian’s Smoked Chicken Salad on a Croissant. So good!

By the way, the farm hosted a wonderful Chef’s Dinner last night with delicious dishes prepared by Chef Ian.
