Mrs. Duck Duck & Mr. Call Duck walk up the hill each morning, then a few minutes later he flies down and she walks down. This morning they did it twice.

Not sure what is happening up there. Starting to wonder if she is laying eggs up there. That's the Mrs. In the third slide.

Wednesday we took our good boy Stew to the butcher. He was a fine steer, never gave us any real trouble.

Today (Sunday) we picked up his replacement - and then some! Another steer plus two heifers.

New breed for us - Herford / Pinzgauer cross.
We hear good things about the meet quality.
[ Key traits include strong hooves, disease resistance, and excellent meat quality, with studies showing their beef is exceptionally tender. ]

Looking forward to breeding our own calves via AI for ourselves & sale to others. Another new chapter for us!!
