Spring has sprung at High Tide Farm! Redbud trees, cherry trees, lilac and spring flowers all budding out. The honeybees will be so pleased.

A beautiful, warm spring evening at High Tide Farm before the rain and chilly temps move back in. The cherry trees are getting ready to bloom and the honey bees will be pleased with all the blooming plants.
After feeding the horses, I went down to the beach to enjoy the gorgeous sunset and watch the nesting ospreys.

The Canadian geese have had enough of the brutal Maryland weather and are heading north for the spring and summer. There were thousands of geese flying over the farm today including beautiful snow geese.

Introducing the High Tide Farm ice skating rink!!! Thanks, Rick Holt for taking this lovely picture.
While I’ve been stuck in DC trying to escape my own neighborhood, barn manager Cindy Holt, her loyal hubby Rick Holt and boarders Scott and Carole have been taking care of the High Tide horses. I am forever blessed and very grateful for all of their hard work.
Spring cannot come soon enough…

Christmas decorations are down and the horses have dinner, fresh water and hay.
After weeks of bitter cold temps and high winds, the Magothy was like glass tonight. The sun even made an appearance!
