Lazy L Beef

Lazy L Beef Grass Fed Beef, no hormones, antibiotics and absolutely no grain, EVER. This is as fresh as it gets and you know what the beef your buying eats is all natural

If you want the freshest, best tasting beef ever, then you have found it. Now all you have to do is try it but first:

Myths: grass fed beef is super lean, grass-fed beef has yellow fat, grass fed beef is tough, it's impossible to get marbling in grass fed beef, grass fed beef tastes "gamey"…. ALL MYTHS! Our cattle come from a 4th generation farm in Northern Georgia. They are grass fed from star

t to finish on all sustainable pastures. GAP certified, which means they are raised without the use of antibiotics, added hormones, or animal by-products, grown in lush fields instead of feed lots and last but most importantly, they are humanly treated at all times. No stress equals better meat! Have you ever wondered how the "fresh", "organic", "All Natural" beef gets to your grocer? Beef must hang a certain number of days to have its flavor. We all love aged beef, right? Well, most of what you think is the better choice is quick processed, sometimes with the use of gases to age it quickly. This way they can fill their orders in 2 to 3 days rather than 12 to 24 days (which is suggested hang time for most beef). Like other foods, they would rather have the quantity than quality. Ours hang for 14 days in an open-air unit. Not familiar with grass fed beef, here is what you need to know:

Grass fed beef (especially in Florida) is "nearly" impossible to get marbling and fat without graining them in the end. This is mainly due to nutritional values in grasses or the lack of. Most all of Florida grasses, except maybe some northern sections, have no nutritional value to it. Our Georgia ranch has done the impossible with their lush grasses in the spring/summer and silage from those grasses in the winter months. These cattle never go without. This beef has wonderful marbling and just enough fat for the amazing flavor it produces. Be aware the butcher does not trim an excessive amount of fat away from the cuts, for a couple of reasons, 1 the flavor it adds (where there's fat, there's flavor) and 2 the fat keeps the meat from drying out during freezer time. You can coordinate with the butcher for your preference. Cooking grass feed beef is simple, low and slow is the key.

Our Story

Let me first start off by saying, I am a Florida girl, I love my birth place but our grass here is not the greatest. It has little to no nutrition in it. Most farmers here have to fertilize like crazy to get any decent forage for their animals. That means those chemicals are in the animals. The difference in flavor between Florida raised beef and northern states is staggering, to say the least. Next time you are traveling out of Florida and into other states, pay attention to the livestock and their pastures. The size difference is amazing and that's due to the land they are grazing. That goes for any grazing animal.

These cows come from a 4th generation farm in Northern Georgia. They are grass fed from start to finish on all sustainable pastures. Absolutely no hormones or antibiotics. They are humanly treated at all times, no stress equals better meat! Have you ever wondered how the "fresh", "organic", "All Natural" beef gets to your grocer?
