Dearest Club RIO Family,
We are sending our warmest wishes to you for a wonderful, healthy, and prosperous 2022! It’s been a little rough this past year for everyone but we thankfully thrived surrounded by the love and support of all our many, many loyal friends. We are so grateful and we know we are truly blessed! Thank you, ALL!
The New Year always seems to bring excitement and hopefulness, new energy, and a look forward to new goals in the upcoming months. This year especially we have had an opportunity come our way to change directions and give us a chance for new chapters to explore. I know you are asking yourself, “what exactly is Carol talking about?” After much back & forth and soul searching, it became very clear that we had a wonderful opportunity to share the legacy of RIO SECO, pass on our joy in accomplishments and hard work, to a new family, Bill and Kathy Kuiper from Southern California. Tom would have been so proud of his girls carrying on his dream ~ Carol, Cait, Emily, Quinn, and the boys, Jacob, Liam, Brennan, and most of all, Marcial! The time has come, however, to embrace our memories from humble beginnings starting with a seized property, to 26 years challenged by this amazing wine industry and achieving a working and respectable family winery! We hope excitement and enthusiasm surrounds them as they take this beautiful little ranch, home to so many cherished gatherings, to their new hopes and dreams!
RIO SECO will officially pass into our hearts and minds on March 28th. Carol will finally get to retire!
All our best wishes to the Kuiper family for their expected success! May they always feel the love that has surrounded us here at RIO SECO!
In true Hinkle Family tradition, we invite you to participate in our last few events here at the winery!

Our motto has been for a very long time, “Come as a friend, Leave as family” – it’s not just the motto, we truly believe the words! Until then, with Love…
