"Grenache was a true pleasure to pick. The crush chemistry is down right perfect: 26.0 BRIX, 3.56 pH and 0.41 TA. Great numbers with juice taste amazing! The vineyard yielded 12.8 tons and it's just 1.5 total acres. That means we yielded 8 tons per acre! I'm not frightened by high tonnage...we manage the canopy for supporting high yields, and this year's weather was the main ticket to success. Grenache is prolific and wonderful. We crushed it yesterday and took "the bleed" today, around 800 gallons of juice, saignée style and marking the beginning of the process for Rosé"..
