Our 2025 Albariño comes from Jack Ranch Vineyard in Edna Valley, where the cool maritime influence and long growing season help Albariño retain its beautiful natural acidity and aromatic intensity. Jack Ranch Albariño is known for expressive citrus, tropical fruit, and fresh mineral character.

Tasting Notes:
Bright aromas of white peach, citrus blossom, fresh lime, and passion fruit lead into a crisp, energetic palate layered with green apple, lemon zest, and subtle tropical fruit. A refreshing thread of saline minerality carries through the wine, finishing clean, bright, and beautifully persistent.

🍷 Enrique’s Story — A Love for Tempranillo

My journey in wine began more than 24 years ago in Paso Robles, working with the land, learning the vineyards, and discovering the varieties that would eventually define my passion as a winemaker.

Of all the grapes I’ve worked with, Tempranillo holds a special place in my heart.

There is something about Tempranillo that speaks to me—the deep fruit, the spice, the earthiness, the structure, and the way it expresses both the vineyard and the hands that made it. It connects me to the great winemaking traditions of Spain while allowing me to create something uniquely Paso Robles.

That passion became part of the foundation of Diablo Paso—my dream of producing wines inspired by Spanish varieties and shaped by California’s Central Coast.

For me, Tempranillo is more than a wine.

It is tradition. It is passion. It is part of my story.

Every bottle represents years of hard work, sacrifices, friendships, harvests, and the belief that Paso Robles can produce truly exceptional Spanish-varietal wines.

I’m Enrique Torres, founder and winemaker of Diablo Paso, and after more than two decades in this industry, I still get excited every time I taste Tempranillo from the barrel.

I grabbed this bottle during my very first visit to Paso Robles, and it immediately caught my attention. The wine was aged for 26 months in 100% American oak barrels, adding layers of complexity, spice, and depth while complementing Tempranillo’s naturally savory character.

The Pour🍷
This reserve selection poured a medium ruby hue with aromas of coffee, dark to***co, cedar, graphite, black cherry, blackberry, and leather.

The Sip✨
This bottle immediately reminded me of a fine, well-aged Cuban cigar. It was incredibly smooth, delivering an impressive coating across the palate while layering bold dark fruit with earthy undertones, smoked spice, and a touch of red velvet.
For a Tempranillo, the level of complexity was remarkable. A full-bodied structure carried firm, tightly woven tannins that were balanced by lower acidity, giving the wine a serious, cellar-worthy personality. The fruit is fully ripe, while subtle phenolic bitterness adds another dimension that intertwines beautifully with the American oak, revealing notes of vanilla, sweet to***co, toasted cedar, and baking spices as the finish unfolds. The finish is long, powerful, and savory, making this a fantastic bottle for anyone who enjoys bold Spanish-inspired reds with plenty of structure and oak influence.

Diablo Paso Wines was founded by Enrique Torres as a reflection of both his Spanish heritage and his passion for crafting authentic Spanish-style wines in Paso Robles. His vision extends beyond the bottle, emphasizing hard work, family, and the belief that professional success should never come at the expense of happiness or harmony at home.
