This Hispanic Heritage Month, I’m celebrating my Peruvian roots and raising a glass of ALLPA—a w**e I named as a tribute to where I come from and to the land here in Paso Robles that gave me the opportunity to reinvent my career and follow a path I never expected. 🇵🇪🍷
I was born in Peru and moved to California when I was seven, but the connection to my roots has always been a meaningful part of who I am. Allpa means earth/soil in Quechua, the language of the Inca that is still spoken in parts of Peru.
Some of my fondest childhood memories are tied to family, harvest, and w**e. My family has been making w**e and pisco—a spirit distilled from grapes—for generations, and harvest was always filled with joy, laughter, and plenty of grape stomping. 🍇
Looking back, maybe the world always had a plan to bring me right back to my roots.
Come celebrate with us at the Rockbound tasting room this month and raise a glass with me. ¡Salud! 🇵🇪
