kukkula Kukkula, which means "hill" or "high place" in Finnish, aptly describes the 80-acre Jussila property.

Located on the west side of Paso Robles overlooking the historic Adelaida Schoolhouse, the property is comprised of 29 acres of vines, 8 acres of olives, 32 acres of mature walnut trees, and a spectacular modern home and winery facility. With another property on Adelaida Road, we farm a total of 49 acres of vines, all are dry-farmed and organic.

We're excited to be pouring at Paired Paso tonight, just one of the many great events this weekend at !

We're pouring 2021 noir with Mediterranean moussaka made by long time friend, Chef Josรฉ Dahn! If you're attending, please come say hi to Kevin and Chef Josรฉ!

What better way to celebrate Paso Robles Wine Month?

Kevin, Curren and our dear friend Jerry from Decemil started blending trials for kukkula's 2025 vintage today.

I popped down from the tasting room to learn their process and bug them with questions. (Hi ๐Ÿ‘‹ I'm Melina the new hospitality manager here at kukkula, intro post soon to come!)

This not-so-simple process of tasting takes 4-5 days, resulting in a ton of note taking, a lot of discussion, and a yet to be determined amount of plain cracker palette cleansers.

Together they will taste our vineyard, block-by-block, choosing the best expression of each grape for each of our distinct blends.

While tasting wine all day sounds like fun, in this case I can safely say the team is putting in real creative work today.

Thank you to all Paso's hardworking winemaker's! May the fourth be with you!
