Pelletiere Estate Vineyard & Winery

Pelletiere Estate Vineyard & Winery Family owned and operated, Pelletiere Estate is committed to producing handcrafted artisan Italian style wines, with distinct flare and superior quality.

Our southern facing sloped terrain, rocky limestone soils and distinct mediterranean climate, similar to that of Italy, make Pelletiere Estate the idyllic place for growing our exclusive varietals. In honor of our Italian heritage and those of our predecessor we have chosen to harvest exceptional Italian varietals such as Sangiovese, Nebbiolo, Montepulciano, and Lagrein. We also produce superior Z

infandel, Syrah and Viognier. Our Italian style wines are handcrafted to bring out the natural and dynamic flavor profiles that are unique to our location and the varietals we have selected to cultivate.

What you’re looking at is our 2026 Nebbiolo.

The growing season began unusually cool. Then, before veraison…the onset of ripening…an unprecedented heat event hit our vineyard. We knew it was coming. We took every precaution available to us to protect our fruit.

The result is what you see here. We lost the fruit.

There’s a certain amount of unpredictability you accept when you grow grapes. Weather has always been part of it. But climate change is altering that equation. The extremes are greater, the patterns less reliable, and sometimes the conditions exceed what even a carefully farmed vineyard can withstand.

This was one of those times.

There is disappointment in losing the Nebbiolo, but there is also a very real business consequence. By the time a crop is lost, money has already been spent growing it. And as a small-production estate winery, we don’t simply source replacement fruit and keep going. A loss in the vineyard becomes a loss in production and, ultimately, revenue.

It’s an interesting contradiction in wine. We spend years talking about vintages after they’re made, what the weather did, how the fruit developed, how the wine expresses that particular year.

But first, the vintage has to survive the vineyard.

We know the risks. That knowledge doesn’t soften the disappointment when one of them becomes reality.

What it does do is remind us why we’re willing to take those risks: we care deeply about the grapes we farm and the wines we produce.

Some vintages will eventually tell their story from the bottle.

The 2026 Nebbiolo tells its story from the vineyard.

Every family has a story.

For us, Pelletiere Estate is part of a much bigger one, a story shaped by generations, traditions, and the people who have filled our lives with memories along the way.

These photos are a glimpse of the family, the moments, and the connections behind the name. They remind us that what we build is about so much more than wine. It’s about the people we share it with, the conversations around the table, and the memories created together.

To those who have visited, supported us, and become part of the Pelletiere family, thank you. Your friendship, loyalty, and support mean more than we can say.

And if you haven’t made your way to the estate yet, we would love the opportunity to welcome you, share our story, and raise a glass together.

Cheers to family, friendship, and the moments that bring us together. 🍷

More than a stay. An experience.

If you haven’t discovered our farmhouse yet, we’d love to introduce you to one of our favorite places on the estate.

Our farmhouse was originally built in the 1890s and has been lovingly restored, keeping its character while adding all the comforts you’d hope for in a getaway.

Think light-filled rooms, windows that frame vineyard views in every direction, a beautifully equipped kitchen, comfortable spaces to gather, and a viewing deck that’s hard to leave. It’s one of our favorite places to start the morning with a cup of coffee and the perfect spot to end the day with a glass of wine as the sun sets over the vines.

It’s relaxed, peaceful, and quietly luxurious. The kind of place where you slow down without even trying.

If you’re planning a Paso Robles getaway, we’d love to share this little corner of our estate with you.

Reserve your stay through the link in our bio.
