Mr Turkey had to go. He always slept in weird places but recently decided to sleep on the hood of the truck 😡
So we decided to end the Turkey saga.
He was a big guy, but he’s not a meat breed so his breast weren’t plump like you would see in a thanksgiving Turkey. He was much bigger and longer. We decide to part him and kept his two legs and all the meat we could take off the carcass. It was still a good bit of meat!

Also finished Oliver’s 4H chicken enclosure, and cuddled some chickens. And dispatched some extra roosters (3) to give the hens a break.

I love my turkey, I love my turkey, I love my turkey 😡😡😡 Someone is looking more and more like Thanksgiving dinner 😑

When a neighbor from behind you brings you “your duckling” that his nephew found. 🤦🏼‍♀️ No clue what mama duck the little boy got this baby from. 😂 none of our ladies have a nest or babies this small. The chicks are being bullies, but hopefully they chill out and accept the little thing 🤞

Three new babies bunnies born this morning!
2 pink and one black!
I try not to mess with the nest too much in the first week, but I do like to get a count and make sure everyone in the nest is alive at least once a day.

Also, I have an abundance of quail eggs and almost 3 dozen duck eggs! Let me know if you need some!

Watch the quail covey while I *struggle* to refresh their coop 😂

I built this coop from items we had around, so It isn’t the most aesthetically pleasing coop. It’s also pretty short, so I have to bend over while I search for eggs.
The quail enjoy making little nests in the hay, which is a pain in the butt. BUT they are so happy when I stir up the hay and refresh It, that It makes the back-ache egg hunt worth It.

One day we will build up and have an aviary set up that I can walk in and stand straight. But that day is not today 🤷‍♀️
