Royal Palm turkey poults. This is a heritage breed and can be kept for pets, meat, or eggs. They get nice and large, but not unhealthily so. Beautiful birds with a lot of personality as adults.

I have have some poults looking for new coops hatched 05/26! If you want to raise your own turkey for Thanksgiving or just have some super fun pets it's the perfect time of year to raise them. I'll only have two more small turkey hatches this year as I'm slowly wrapping up for the season.

We decided to make a goat milking/hoof trimming stand for our little herd of Nigerian Dwarf Goats and it is AWESOME. It's seriously been such a game changer. Previously when we had to trim the goats hooves one of us would have to hold the goat and the other would have to wrangle the feet and crawl around in the dirt to clip each hoof. Milking was basically a no go since they always kicked up too much dirt and it was such an unpleasant experience for all involved. The milk stand is so perfect. They all figured it out by day two and RUN to hop up and get their grain now. I only have one doe in currently in milk, but I'm training all our does and bucks to use it.

We ended up having so much fun making the first one that we decided to make a couple more. I'm going to sell some of the stands because I don't actually need more than one with my little herd. But they're fun to make and style so I think I'll definitely be making more.

Not the fanciest ever, but my hubby and I made this massive brooder for grow out chicks. There are 64 chicks in there! And I bet I could easily fit another 64 or so. Maybe such a big brooder wasn't a good idea... 😅 I may get myself into trouble here...

Before anyone comes at me for the heat lamp.... Just don't. I use both heat lamps and heat plates regularly. In this situation, this brooder is in a garage with no temperature control. I need to be able to see instantly that the chicks are being kept at temp and that everyone is okay. I've had a situation in the garage years ago where the heat plate had stopped working, but it was still powering the red light, indicating it was warm. I sadly lost several beautiful chicks before I stuck my hand to the plate and realized it was ice cold despite being "on." The heat lamp is securely attached in multiple places, and there is zero slack in the cord for it to fall. It can be raised as the chicks grow to decrease the hot spot temperature. The feeder and waterer are also on lines that will be raised higher to keep them clean as the chickies grow. The floor under the shavings is a tarp that can be rolled up for easy cleaning. Overall, I'm super happy with the design and can't wait to see all the gorgeous babies I can raise now.

Ermine/White/Black Ameraucana

These cute babies hatched 03/16, and I'm so happy the ermine Ameraucana flock is having MUCH better hatch rates than my BBS Ameraucana flock. Look at those floofy faces! The way the dominant white gene works, my flock can produce chicks that are black, white, and white with black spots (ermine).

Today's market was awesome! I had a blast meeting new people and getting to chat again with some great people from last market! I love talking chickens with you guys! We brought chicks, hatching eggs, and some nice roosters, as well as a couple of bunnies. I completely sold out on chicks and roosters, I'll definitely be bringing more chicks next time! Pic is of my little table today. That was my first attempt at doing one of those little ombre egg trays. It was pretty fun. 🤣 I didn't realize how blue those Ameraucana eggs were until I saw them next to all the shades of green.

These little cuties went to their new home today. All 10 are Alohas. I love Aloha chickens for the color variety that has intentionally been bred into the breed. Alohas are definitely a top contender if you like colorful chickens! I'm going to have a few of these babies with me at the Roadrunner ACA marketplace in New River tomorrow.

I will be at the ACA Farm N' Stuff Marketplace this Saturday. I'll be bringing
•Chicks - Aloha, Buff Orpington, and BYM (barn yard mix)
•Hatching eggs - Aloha, Easter Egger/BYM, ermine Ameraucana, BCM, and F1OE.
•Young roosters - Buff Orpington, Bielefelder, and possibly a Chocolate Orpington or two.

I had hoped to have more chicks, eggs, and pullets with me, but all you incredible chicken folk have been keeping me sold out. It was a struggle to hold on to enough eggs and chicks to bring down to New River with me! I have just enough to make the trip, and I can't wait to see everyone there!

Slander. They can tell time. 3:00am is clearly the perfect time to tell all the coyotes where your blind and defenseless flock is roosted up for the night. 🤣
