Hello!
We are Wooly Acres Farm! A small family owned White Dorper farm located in Western New York.

Who we are:
We are a husband and wife duo who started our journey about a year ago. Our family has owned sheep for MANY years. Around 2020 we started taking a huge interest in the sheep and decided to branch off on our own. We have always loved the Dorpers we grew up around but found a special love of the unmarked White Dorper.

White Dorpers:
Dorpers are a South African breed of domestic sheep developed by crossing Dorset Horn and the black head Persian sheep. The White Dorper is the unmarked version. Why Dorper? Dorpers are a hardy and productive breed with many profitable qualities. Dorpers are an extremely adaptable breed and can continue to grow, reproduce and flourish in many conditions! Even in environments with irregular and low rainfall!

There are MANY amazing qualities to this breed the list is endless!

How did we get our name?
One of the most notable qualities of the Dorper sheep is their self-shedding coat, this means shearing is almost non existent. Because of this, their wool will often be seen throughout their pasture when shedding. These little clumps of wool create a picturesque scene of what looks like little wool flowers blossoming through out the acreage.

Our goal:
We love our sheep, the white Dorper is the second largest breed in South Africa and is quickly spreading to many other countries. We want to share our love for this popular breed. Dorpers are easy keepers and are a fruitful investment for any beginner or a well established flock. Their personalities are just a bonus!

We have a commercial flock as well as limited registered flock. We have something for everyone!
