Had to stop to capture the incredible colors while putting the row cover on our broccoli and cauliflower planting today, after harvesting some serious bulbs of frost-sensitive fennel before the next few cold nights. Hopefully they make it through!

We are beginning the process of turning over the tunnels for winter greens. We took out some of the tomato rows and harvested off all the salvageable fruit from the vines. This moment is bittersweet, as we thank the tomatoes for their abundance and make way for fall crops to take center stage.

This market felt all the more triumphant because it was such a team effort this week! With one of us down for the count with a mysterious knee condition, we’ve been hobbling along trying to get it all done, and thanks to the many helping hands of family and friends, we did! Enjoying the fruits of our labor.
