New hives are up and running!
As we were improving the bear fencing, so both Yogi and BooBoo will hopefully stay away, we were thinking about the shows we have been to. Over the years, one of the most common questions we get is how can I know when my honey is safe to eat?
Generally speaking, honey removed from a hive, if bottled and stored appropriately, will keep indefinitely. We carefully bottle our honey to maximize its lasting flavor. Sometimes, those little molecules of taste decide to bind together, and crystallization occurs. Honey that is 100% pure does just this, and can be remedied with a simple warm water bath.
For anyone curious for more insight, Open Culture has prepared a thorough review on the subject.
