TATER TOT UPDATE ! We haven't posted in a while about Tater as we weren't sure it would be good news. Well, Tater Tot had a recheck with Dr Liz Scott at Idaho Equine Hospital yesterday for blood work and to remove staples from her incision Her blood work showed substantial improvement and the staple removal ,a group effort , went well too. She is still on a lot of meds , Please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers, its working !

Good things are happening too at Autumn Wind. A few days ago Tia gave us a healthy little boy Autumn Wind's Rufus and Sunday morning Allie delivered a sweat little girl Autumn Wind's Red Molly. The Orchard Grass is ready to bale and it looks really good ...... Keep moving forward..... Don't let the bad days win!

TATER TOT IS HOME ! ! ! The last couple weeks have been the hardest we have gone through in the 12 years we have had livestock.The loss of two foals and Tater Tot is back home but not out of the woods yet from complications from the emergency C section 2 weeks ago. Thank you to Dr. Liz Scott and the entire staff at Idaho Equine for everything they did for Tater.

We went to visit Tater today. The vet was out walking her on the grass, hoping to get her to eat grass. She said she was eating but not as much as she would like her to. She was worried that she might be depressed and said we might want to bring a buddy to stay with her, as they don't do well alone. So, we went home and put Dahlia in the trailer and took her to vet hospital. Tater looked awful. She just standing there looking depressed. As soon as she saw Dahlia she came over and tried to get into her section of the stall. We put their water and food at the fence that divided the stall. They were nose to nose.

Tater has gotten through a few hurdles, but with the amount of trauma she went through, there are a few other things they are keeping an eye on .

Spent an hour or so with Tater Tot @ Idaho Equine this morning .She made it through the night and was eating this morning .She looks really beat up .She is being cared for by a team of fantastic Veterinary Doctors .She is eating but has a long way to go.Monday she will be seen by reproductive specialist Dr Liz Scott .Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers .

Please send prayers for Tater Tot. Her foal didn't make it. It was so large that after working for several hours to get it out, they are having to do a C-section. She will be at Idaho Equine for several days to be monitored for infection and other problems. 😪🙏
