We are OBSESSED with our shop baguettes.

Like… finding reasons to make ourselves sandwiches 24/7 - obsessed. 🥖😂

And it’s time you meet the woman behind the bread! Steph Stephanie , aka our Bread Angel 👼🥖, has been part of the shop team for over a month now, quietly blessing us with these beautiful French-style baguettes every Friday. Pop in and say hi. 

And here’s the part we really love:

✨ Egg-free
✨ Vegan-friendly
Gluten-free + vegan friends, REJOICE. 🙌🏾
But also, if you’re not gluten-free, we still think this recipe is a BANGER. Crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside, and built for a really good sandwich.

Grab a baguette, pick one of our vegan cheeses from the case, add your favorite sandwich fixings, and BOOM 💥 you’ve got yourself a completely vegan cheese situation.

OR take your baguette over to our counter and let us melt some raclette over your choice of shop-cured meat. (Phil would recommend the guanciale 👀🧀)

Fresh baguettes are in the shop every Friday we’re open, but once they’re gone, they’re gone.

All my cheese friends to the front who love a unicorn 🦄

I first met this beauty while cheesemongering in Somerville. She originally offended some of my senses.

I didn’t love the cryo vac packaging that made a mess of my counter, the peppercorns threw me off, and I couldn’t get the image of the crushed herbs getting trapped in my teeth.

And then a customer ordered a pound of it 😱. My eyes almost popped out of my head.

Then I packed out slices for the grab-and-go fridge in clamshells. Came in the next day, and they were ALL gone 👀

What I failed to realize is that this cheese fills a gap. Think bright citrus, but savory cream.

Fleur verte is one of those cheeses that you purchase to sing alongside a killer cracker. It’s the solid background vocals to your favorite live band.

Tasty on its own but happily will play supporting actress with to favorite funky cracker.

Anywho. We’ll be selling Fleur verte on Friday, and if you haven’t tried , I’ll be scooping samples by the spoonful.

We need to lock in Y’all!

Because if we don’t, we’re going to look around one day and wonder where all the magic went.

The little flower shop that remembers what you bought last time and when your wife’s birthday.

The bookstore with the handwritten recommendations.

The bakery making that thing you can’t get anywhere else.

The neighborhood brewery where the owner is also taking your order.

The fun creative shop that makes your town feel like your town.

Small businesses aren’t just cute additions to a community. They are part of the infrastructure of it.

📊 A few facts:

And here’s the part that doesn’t fit neatly into a statistic:

Small businesses sponsor the hockey teams.
We donate the gift card to the school fundraiser.
We know your name.
We hire your neighbor.
We collaborate with the shop down the street.
We take chances on ideas that would never make it through a corporate meeting.

And yes, sometimes we cost a few dollars more. Sometimes our hours are a little weird. Sometimes we sell out.

Because there isn’t a warehouse behind us with 40,000 more.

There’s usually just a person trying to build something meaningful and keep the lights on.

So this is your reminder: you don’t have to spend more. Just think about where you’re spending what you already spend.

We’re still pinching ourselves.

This month, Eat Drink Explore Provisions is featured in the latest issue of Edible Boston, and honestly, if you had asked us three years ago where this little shop would be today, we never would have believed you.

Like many small business owners, we started with a dream, a whole lot of determination, and more uncertainty than certainty.

There were days that felt like giant leaps forward and days that felt like standing completely still.

What we’ve learned is that growth rarely follows a straight line. It’s often messy, unpredictable, and full of detours you never planned for.

Some opportunities arrive exactly when you expect them. Others show up after you’ve almost convinced yourself they’re never coming.
To our fellow entrepreneurs: keep going.

Keep showing up. Keep sending those emails, attending those events, and refining your craft. The road to growth isn’t always direct, but every small step matters more than you realize.

We’re incredibly grateful to our customers, community, family, and friends who have supported us along the way. Thank you for believing in us, even when we were still figuring it all out.

And thank you to Edible Boston for sharing our story. What an honor.

Our cookbook club went full superhero mode last night.

cooking from The Official Marvel Cookbook by Nyanyika Banda 🦸‍♀️ and honestly… it delivered.
This book is low-key a lifesaver if you’re cooking for a group—tons of fun, flavorful recipes that work for all kinds of dietary restrictions or allergies, so no one’s stuck eating just a side salad.

Yesterday we celebrated Phil 🤍

From the very beginning of Edex provisions, he was my biggest supporter. When I had the idea to open our shop, he didn’t hesitate—he believed in me, backed me, and helped bring that vision to life.

He’s always had my back, no matter what.
Together, we’ve birthed three beautiful creations—our wonderful son Philip, our larger-than-life business, and our beautiful baby girl Zuri.

I’m so proud of everything we’ve built side by side.
His knowledge of cooking for large groups and his experience as a chef have really helped catapult our cheese catering business into what it is today.

Grateful for his skill, dedication, and passion.
And of course, I have to say—no one does “conversions” in the kitchen quite like him 😄
I’m just grateful we get to build this life, this family, and this business together.

Happy birthday, babe 👨🏻‍🦰
