We’re still pinching ourselves.

This month, Eat Drink Explore Provisions is featured in the latest issue of Edible Boston, and honestly, if you had asked us three years ago where this little shop would be today, we never would have believed you.

Like many small business owners, we started with a dream, a whole lot of determination, and more uncertainty than certainty.

There were days that felt like giant leaps forward and days that felt like standing completely still.

What we’ve learned is that growth rarely follows a straight line. It’s often messy, unpredictable, and full of detours you never planned for.

Some opportunities arrive exactly when you expect them. Others show up after you’ve almost convinced yourself they’re never coming.
To our fellow entrepreneurs: keep going.

Keep showing up. Keep sending those emails, attending those events, and refining your craft. The road to growth isn’t always direct, but every small step matters more than you realize.

We’re incredibly grateful to our customers, community, family, and friends who have supported us along the way. Thank you for believing in us, even when we were still figuring it all out.

And thank you to Edible Boston for sharing our story. What an honor.

Our cookbook club went full superhero mode last night.

cooking from The Official Marvel Cookbook by Nyanyika Banda 🦸‍♀️ and honestly… it delivered.
This book is low-key a lifesaver if you’re cooking for a group—tons of fun, flavorful recipes that work for all kinds of dietary restrictions or allergies, so no one’s stuck eating just a side salad.

Yesterday we celebrated Phil 🤍

From the very beginning of Edex provisions, he was my biggest supporter. When I had the idea to open our shop, he didn’t hesitate—he believed in me, backed me, and helped bring that vision to life.

He’s always had my back, no matter what.
Together, we’ve birthed three beautiful creations—our wonderful son Philip, our larger-than-life business, and our beautiful baby girl Zuri.

I’m so proud of everything we’ve built side by side.
His knowledge of cooking for large groups and his experience as a chef have really helped catapult our cheese catering business into what it is today.

Grateful for his skill, dedication, and passion.
And of course, I have to say—no one does “conversions” in the kitchen quite like him 😄
I’m just grateful we get to build this life, this family, and this business together.

It’s our TIN year 🎊
Today we hit 10years married, 15 years together
And the time that’s passed sometimes blows my mind to think about.

Phil and I are so grateful for all of you who’ve been on this wild ride with us.

Quick factoid:
We got married at one of my childhood churches in Wakefield, MA. The chapel we are standing in sadly no longer exists. In 2018, the church building experienced a seven-alarm fire that drew more than 100 firefighters from two dozen communities.

This church was nearly 150 years old and held so many memories for its community and us.

Last week we lost a very special person. I’ve been processing this grief and realized I just needed to write things down.

Shop was closed yesterday. And I want to thank all our customers who reached out yesterday for their grace.

Bellow is an open letter to Grampy. Hoping to share with Y’all how much this beautiful soul meant to me.

Dear Grampy, 
Thank you for welcoming me into your family. I want to thank you for creating and nurturing the man I call my husband. Over the last 15 years that I’ve had the pleasure of knowing you, you’ve been a cheerleader and a big supporter of Phil and me. You watched our relationship grow from budding friendship to married life out of state, to the birth of Burrito, then the birth of our shop, and finally the birth of Zuri. Words truly can’t express how much your presence at each of those milestones meant to me.
I im going to miss going out to dinner with you and the family. Im going to miss your sense of humor and how you, low-key, had the best roast master energy. Hearing your commentary from the kitchen during a game always made me chuckle, even though I didn’t know what was going on; you just had a way of making things funny. 
The thing im going to miss most is coming home late from a meeting or event and seeing you in your chair, you welcoming me home, and then wishing me a good night as I went up. 
The door was always open, and a light was kept on so I could find my way through the gate. 
Life now has a « Before Grampy » and « After Grampy » age statement. 
I love you, and I think you knew that. Not sure what life looks like now that you’re gone because the hole I can see and feel is so big. 
Grateful to have two other Philips keeping me company. Well, all is ok, and I can’t wait to share stories with Zuri about some of the fun you both had together. 

Hearing from your friends at your wake and at the reception at Granite Coast about how proud you were of the shop made me smile and cry. We felt it, but hearing folks I’ve never met before was like a dollop of crème fraîche.

Happy Cheese Lovers Day! 🧀✨

We’re celebrating all things cheesy—and right now, I'm crushing hard on Louis d’Or from Quebec. Creamy, nutty, and oh-so-delicious, this Canadian gem has stolen myheart and taste buds!

flavors reminiscent of Alpine cheeses like Gruyère! It’s named after the golden color of the cheese (“d’or” means “of gold” in French). 

We shared this beauty in this month's cheese club. Hope everyone loves it as much as we do.
