Almost had a hitchhiker coming home with me if I hadn’t heard the giant thud of him landing on the roof. 😳😂

Just wanted to try out my new tool for turning up all that packed-down soil in the chicken coop… 🐔🛠️
Somehow it turned into an unexpected chicken chase, catching a few escapees, and cracking open some fairy eggs along the way! 😂🥚
I’ll have to keep at it for a while once the battery charges!

These fellas were dumped over the fence two weeks ago and have since made it through quarantine. Now they’re officially ready to move inside the coop!
These little guys are tiny, so I always put any bantams that are dumped here inside the coop. Otherwise, they’d no doubt become hawk food. Now they just need names.Anyone have any name suggestions for these three little guys? 🐓 🐔🐓

It breaks my heart to have to make this post. While I was in California for five days, my sweet old lady, Midnight, decided it was her time to cross the rainbow bridge.Although I’m heartbroken that I couldn’t be there for her final moments, I find comfort in knowing that throughout her life with us, she knew nothing but love.
I know I’m not supposed to pick a favorite kid, but Midnight was definitely my favorite. We shared a very special bond that I never had with any of my other goats.
Midnight came to me pregnant from someone else and spent a couple of months in the barn’s “labor ward” because the due date I was given was very wrong. I had never experienced a goat giving birth before, and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better goat to share that experience with.
Midnight was everything you could ever want in a goat, friendly, gentle, tame, loving, and incredibly sweet. She walked on a lead, followed me around, loved her treats and scratches, was an amazing mother, and was always so good for hoof trims.
She was so full of love, and I feel incredibly lucky that I was able to love her during her final years with us. I know I’ll be mourning her loss for a long time, but I’m grateful for every moment, every memory, and every bit of love she gave me.
Run free, sweet Midnight. You were so loved, and you always will be. ❤️❤️❤️

Catching Bar for the farrier because getting him in the stall first would’ve been too easy 😂🐴💨

Who needs a lawn mower when Midnight gets the job done perfectly fine? 🐐🌱😂

A day in the life of Grace: super old, super grumpy, and permanently bothered. 🦙🤣

Testing out the new tripod I got as a gift to make filming around the farm a little easier. 😂
Some animals couldn’t care less… and some apparently need to be right in the middle of everything. 😂🐄🐐🐓
