The Branch is hosting construction girls event this Sat. From 10 to 3 at 3635 Peter's Creek Rd. in Roanoke. We are glad to be joining them again this year. Although Simple Fixins is known for amazing all beef hot dogs and smashing good lemon shakers, for the girls event we are pulling out a whole new menu. If it goes well we might just add it to next years menu.

The opportunity of a lifetime for Julie and I. Not only did we have nearly front row seats at the seminar, we made it to the book signing and got all of the books and the Temple Grandin doll signed. Some books will be raffled off or given away as prizes as we raise money and continue to bring attention to autism. THEN just when you thought that would be it, and that was more than we ever imagined, we got to be with her at a meet and greet event. We want to thank all of those ( you know who you all are), at Virginia Tech Autism Clinic & Center for Autism Research and so many others for all you do. Dr Grandin has to be one of the most down to Earth, no non-sense, sit back kickin' it in a rocker on the front porch kinda people I have ever had the pleasure to meet. What she has done and continues to do in her life is amazing.
