Lots and lots of rain these past few days. The horses are perfectly content to get a break from the rain and dry off in their tie stalls. They get a meal of Enrich plus soaked timothy cubes, then a hay bag of some really nice alfalfa grass mix hay, and fresh water of course. And a good amount of shavings for comfort and to dry out their hooves and feathers. Once they've stuffed themselves, they'll take a nap and then get let back outside recharged and better able to face the rain again.
The horses can handle a lot of conditions outside, they are built for it, but I can tell when they are over it. And they were more than happy to halter themselves and lead me to the barn.
