✨ Third Great: Where We’re Going in the New Year ✨
The coming year marks a return to the original heart of Third Great: working with Prima Materia: raw materials from source, shaped through attention, skill, and relationship. This shift isn’t about doing less; it’s about doing what matters with greater precision and care. Refinement. Transmutation.
We’re moving away from volume farming and focusing almost entirely on value-added artisan work and education. The materials remain the same. The intention is sharper.
What you’ll see from us moving forward:
Outdoor-grown Reishi and Reishi extracts, produced with an emphasis on resilience, ecology, and long-term health
Hand-woven wool rugs, made entirely from our own sheep, hand-sheared, plant-dyed, spun, and woven on the farm
Handcrafted stringed instruments by Eric, built as functional art and living sound
Fungus, fiber, and wood have always been at the center of our work. We’re simply allowing them to take the lead.
In the new year, we’ll be vending and teaching at markets, festivals, and gatherings, sharing both the finished pieces and the systems behind them. Below are the events currently on the books, with many more to come as the year unfolds.

Teaching & Vending: Medicinal Mushrooms in Practice: From Farm to Functional Medicine
This offering bridges cultivation and clinical application, how medicinal mushrooms are grown, extracted, and responsibly used. We’ll also be vending our Reishi products, rugs, and instruments throughout the event.
