Winter

I love the snow. It reminds me of childhood winters when it meant mittens and sleigh rides. There’s a simple, pure joy associated with the blanket of white. It’s blissful to look out on the fields and the tree tops. It makes the world a little quieter. The farm seems like it’s more full of possibilities now than even as it awakens in spring. Farmer Brooke and I continue to plot and plan, keeping busy even on the dreariest of days, all the while leaving time for plenty of rest. I hope everyone is finding some warmth this time of year.

I talk often about the plants on the farm. These days the excitement is directed at the trees, both present and future. But what I reflect on the most are all the people that have joined us on the journey to start and continue this farm.
I am forever grateful to those that have helped keep this land producing. This year, season number nine for us, was an especially fun one. Cheers to the new year and season 10!
