Life has lots of different seasons and chapters. Our most recent chapter has made things very busy and we have made the decision to step away from livestock at this time. We are looking for new green pastures for our feeder hogs and two of our breeders at this time. The goats are also still up for consideration.

The feeders are either pure American Guinea Hog or Idaho Pasture Pig/AGH crosses. None of them are registered. All males have been castrated. They range from 1-2 years old and we have a total of 14.

The breeders are pure AGH boar and sow and have papers. We will make a deal if they both go together. I don’t have any pictures of the female right now, but the boar is pictured.

Please remember these are homestead lard hogs. They do not get as large as commercial hogs, but have excellent meat and good temperaments. This makes them pretty easy to handle and butcher on your own if you choose.

The goats we have available are two males and two females. One of the males is registered. One of the females is proven, but older. She and the registered male are the parents of the wether and other female. The other female has not been bred.

We have lawn mowers that need new grass to cut. Prefer them all go to the same yard and would make a great starter set for the mowing enthusiast.

Two dwarf alpha models, one registered and the other is a 2.0 from the alpha and the gal model (and approximately 2 years) that can’t create a 3.0 model and is not registered.

Two gal dwarf models. One is a proven mower, the other is not (approximately 2 years old) and is the proven and alpha’s 2.0 model. Neither registered.

It’s small business Saturday! We want to take the time to thank all of you who have trusted us to help fill your freezers with pork. We are so thankful for each and every one of you. It truly makes a difference for our family and we hope having delicious homegrown pork has made a difference for your family too!

Pork season is one people usually have a question about. It’s great to throw in for beans or making ham and bean soup. Lots of flavor!

Lard is great for all the bakers out there or people who love to fry food.

We had some ham in the freezer, but I didn’t want to do your traditional baked ham with it. Found a recipe to throw it in the crockpot with some apple cider vinegar and water to draw out some of the salty flavor, pulled it like any other pulled pork and throwing it back in for a bit with some BBQ sauce. Super easy on a busy soccer day!
