🌼 P*e Dee Homemakers Met Today — And It Was a Sweet One!

Our May meeting was full of learning, laughter, and the kind of community that fills your cup.

Brittney King, our Commercial Horticulture Extension Agent, was unable to join us for our meeting. Fortunately, Bo happily stepped in to pinch hit and walked us through practical, ways to identify and manage common garden pests. From diatomaceous earth to safe treatment options like companion planting, everyone left with something they can put to work in their own beds and backyards.

And of course… the Baked Goods Swap did not disappoint. Homemade breads, cookies, pastries, and treats of every kind filled the table — a beautiful reminder of how generous and talented our Homemakers are.

Most of all, thank you to everyone who showed up, shared, learned, and encouraged one another. This group shines because of the hearts in the room. ❤️

We’re grateful for another month of growing together — in skill, in friendship, and in purpose.

Well *eDeeHomemakers, we’ve had a little change of plans for Sunday — and God’s timing is always perfect, even when it surprises us. 💛

Cristal received some wonderful news and needs to make an unexpected trip, so I’ll be calling in a bit of backup to help me keep our meeting running smoothly.

Bo and Audrey— our favorite local celebrity P*e Dee Homemakers members— have agreed to step in and help me keep our meeting running smoothly! 🌟

We’re also hosting our Baked Goods Swap, so bring a favorite treat to share or trade. Cookies, breads, bars, muffins — anything homemade is perfect. 🎂🧁🍰🍪

🐝✨ God’s Creation at Work — Bee Class Recap ✨🐝

What a blessing today’s P*e Dee Homemakers meeting was.
We spent the afternoon learning about God’s incredible design in the honeybee with Mike Thomas, and it reminded us just how much wisdom the Lord has woven into even the smallest parts of creation.

Mike shared practical, down‑to‑earth guidance on tending hives, understanding bee behavior, and supporting healthy colonies. But more than that, he helped us see the beauty and purpose behind these tiny workers that keep our gardens — and our world — thriving.

We also shared in a little bit of garden joy today — swapping flower seedlings and seeds with one another. It’s such a sweet reminder that God multiplies what we’re willing to share. A tiny cutting or a handful of seeds can become something beautiful in someone else’s garden, and that kind of generosity is what makes our Homemakers family special. 🌸

Thank you to everyone who came, asked questions, and learned alongside us. Fellowship like this is a gift, and we’re grateful for every person who pulls up a chair.
