This week's much needed rain has the crops popping! We irrigate as needed but nothing compares to a good rainfall soaking. The weeds are also coming strong and we are now taking applications for all the people who say they enjoy weeding and that it's therapeutic 😂

Even though it feels like we just finished planting, (because we did on Wednesday, although planting for us never truly ends until September) the long days of harvesting and washing are upon us which is a great feeling! We'll be at the Lakes Area Farmers Market on Saturday with 5 different salad greens mixes, radishes, rhubarb, and some dried goods. See you tomorrow from 10-1!

We're excited to have our first offering of the season of salad greens tomorrow at the Lakes Area Farmers Market ! It wasn't a big harvest so stop by early to make sure and grab some before it's gone. See you Saturday from 10-1!

We're excited to be back at the Lakes Area Farmers Market tomorrow for the start of our season! We don't have a wide variety of produce available yet due to the cool dry spring we've had but we'll have dried herbs, beans, peppers, and rhubarb and will be happy to chat about what's coming up this summer so make sure to stop by and say hello!

It's opening day of the market tomorrow!! Unfortunately we won't be able to make it as we need to focus on getting more crops planted this weekend but we will see you the following weekend!

Yesterday was a highly productive day with many crops getting direct seeded such as beans, corn, and beets. And then we got to test out our new overhead irrigation system which looks like it's gonna be much more efficient than our previous system. Things are starting to happen fast in the field!

We've had a busy week on the farm! We got all of our onions and potatoes planted along with direct seeding the first round of salad greens. On top of that we also finished up all of our transplanting in the greenhouse and built a new chicken coop. Now we are patiently waiting for some rain!

Artichoke is not something you typically think of being grown in Minnesota but last year we did a little experiment with a few plants just to see what would happen. It grew well and we were able to harvest a little for ourselves to eat. This year we are hoping to grow enough to bring to the market and so far it's off to a great start! The grow room is starting to fill up fast!

The first seedlings of the 2026 season (Rosemary and Lavender) are up and doing well! We are looking forward to filling up the grow room with more as the winter progresses.

It's hard to believe but it's time to order seeds and plants for 2026 already! A snow day is perfect for paging through catalogs. Every year we like to try growing something new, we are thinking about artichoke, horseradish and maybe gold raspberries. What's something you would like us to try or something you'd like to see more of from us? No wrong answers!
