Ho-Lee cow. (🫣) My amazing Mama went and picked up 31 pounds of beef fat from our friends at Stillwater Farm this morning! So here I am at midnight, rendering down about half of it to start with to make fresh and clean skincare just for you. All of my lovely customers who came out and supported us today at Tannehill, thank you! Without your trust and support, I wouldn’t be getting to live out my dream of sharing all the benefits of tallow skincare with anyone who will listen to me enthusiastically gush about it! 😅 Stay tuned for a “FRESH RESTOCK” post!

Storms may roll and skies turn gray — your local farmers still show up today!

We are still out here at the Trussville market location with your orders as well as some extra milk and meat come by and see us!

We WILL still be at the market location Saturday morning, starting at 8, for you to pick up your milk, meat and egg orders! Jimmy, the Kiefer man, will also be there.
We will be set up so you can just pull up and we can hand you your items without you having to get out of your car. Just look for our gold van and jimmy's white truck. We would prefer if you can come by 11. We will work with you and if you can't come out that morning or don't feel comfortable driving, just let us know and we will work something else out. Hopefully it'll just be a little rain and help the plants and this dry spell.
You can still place your pre-orders through this evening.
We will also have extras of milk and meat, as well as Katie's dog treats, so come out and support your local farmers. We still keep going , rain or shine!

🥛🥛 Milk, milk and more milk!
We are getting plenty of a2a2 milk from our Jersey girls. We have worked down our wait-list, finally! But if you were on it and we're not contacted, please reach out as sometimes contact info is put in wrong.
We are mainly having extra milk available mid week at our Trussville drop on Tuesday as well as home deliveries Tuesday.
We also have extras available for pick up here in Pell City on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Please reach out if you are interested either here or by phone or text.
We also have plenty of our pasture raised meat available as well and turkey pre-orders going up next week.

Forget dog days of summer, how about cat days?! 😺
It's sure been some hot days lately but farm work still goes on, no matter the weather. Lately it's been getting up extra early to get the girls milked before it's sweltering. This heat is exhausting. Fall 🍁 will be welcome!!
Despite heat and school starting, Saturday market is still hopping! Thank you! Come see us again tomorrow, Sat for the Trussville Farmers market next to Ace Hardware, 8-12.
We are stocked back up on all cuts of beef and chicken as well as plenty of pork sausages and ribs. More cuts of pork, including chops and brats will be available next week. We also have some extra jars of our raw a2a2 milk available as well.
We will be at the market until Thanksgiving, and then go to our winter spot after that. (We are set up in. Trussville year round)
Or you can place your order online and pick up Tues at our Trussville pick up or have it delivered to your home!

Katie update and she's back to making dog treats!
Almost 1 month ago we were getting ready for Katie's second surgery. Over the past week or so she has really bounced back a lot andis starting to feel much more and act much more like her normal self.
Her post-op visit last week went well and all is healing up good. We will continue to have checks every 3 months to keep an eye on everything.

She's slowly going back to normal activities but does tire more quickly which is normal.
She is also back to making her nut-free, pumpkin dog treats and wanted to make sure I told everyone! So come on out to the Saturday Trussville farmers market tomorrow and grab some dog treats along with your farm fresh meat milk and eggs. We will also be stocked back up on our grass fed beef!
You can also order her dog treats online when you place your regular order as well!

Yesterday early morning, Dandy gave birth to a beautiful little heifer calf, unassisted!. New life, seeing new little calves never gets old! This is Dandy's second time calving. Last time we almost lost her. After a hard birth she lost the baby as well as pinched her leg nerves so she couldn't stand up. We had to use hip lifts along with other contraptions and lift her multiple times a day, because a cow left to lay too long will never get up, along with milking her when we lifted her.About 4 days later, we were so tired and about had given up and then came back later to find her in a different spot laying down. She had gotten up and moved! She had a long long road, but slowly became stronger and stronger! One thing all the attention did, is it made her very friendly! She became a perfect cow in the stanchion. Now seeing her have a calf , alive and a girl and get to be a mom this time, just makes a farmer happy. Little things. But big things to a farmer .
God cares about the big and seemingly little things. This new life was such a great end to a wirlwind couple weeks. It was like just a little note from heaven going, I see, I care, even about a cow!
The past couple weeks haven't been what I would have chosen at all. But what I do know is that God was there. The Sunday right before Katie's second surgery, God just gave me a peace, and a calm, I couldn't explain. So many people have been the hands and feet and have blessed us in so many ways, but especially knowing we have so many that love and care and have our back. Thank you!

Katie is slowly getting better and better every day. It's going to take a while to fully recover. She has bursts of feeling great and then just tires out.

But the good news, her pathology report came back confirming the initial results, grade 1, benign tumor. So thankful and thanking God! We will still be following up every 3 months for a bit and watching her. Maybe once we get cooler weather, she can come to market again.
