🍂 Mark your calendar for one of Iowa’s classic fall festivals!
The Madison County Covered Bridge Festival returns to Winterset on October 10–11, 2026, filling the historic courthouse square with vendors, food, entertainment and plenty to explore.
And the festival isn’t limited to downtown. You can make a full weekend out of it with tours of Madison County’s famous covered bridges, activities at the Madison County Historical Complex and a huge car show on Sunday.
From the air, you can really see just how much the festival transforms downtown Winterset.
