Cows & Cultivation We are a local agricultural business focused on bull calf sales in the upstate of South Carolina. Hey y'all! Here at Cows & Cultivation, our name says it all!

In addition to these services, we raise cows, grow asparagus and okra, and enjoy farm life! Our primary focus is to raise and sell the healthiest bull calves you can find in the upstate! Our boys are either purebred Holsteins or a cross between Holstein and Jersey. They are bred using AI to working dairy cows at a local Pelzer creamery. Most of their sires are award winning bulls. Does it get any

better than that? When we are not busy with our cows, we are hard at work cultivating! We grow asparagus, okra, black berries and an odd combination of other vegetation. Yum! You can buy our produce fresh at the Happy Cow Creamery farm store, which is located (conveniently) right across the street! If you're interested in a calf, produce or just a tour around the farm then reach out to us!

Up close and personal! 👃 Sassy is one of the 70ish cows currently being milked at Happy Cow, the dairy across from us. Donavon is their head milker so all of the big spotted ladies love him! That’s also where we get our calves that we sell. Sassy stops what she is doing to try to sniff, or lick, D. Once you get to know a cow personally, you see how each one has a unique personality. Sassy is friendly, bossy and always hungry. 😋

This new little lady is named Dawson! She is super sweet with a white heart on her forehead. Dawson is her mama’s second calf. Her first calf was a bull named Jett that we ( ) bought from the dairy and raised before selling to a local man. Dawson is excited to join the milk team at the dairy! 🐮

I was going to write an apology post for being absent for awhile on here... but then I realized I’m totally not sorry about it. I’m a teacher, so I get summers off (which I spend every minute of 180 days earning, but that’s a post for another day). However, Donavon never gets a day off. That’s the life of a farmer. He works Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, July 4th, birthdays, everything. He finally had a little bit of off time and so we unplugged and enjoyed. For us, that means taking a break from social media. It’s hard to cut yourself off and not worry about if it’ll alter the number of followers you have or if someone will think less of your brand because of it, but it SO had to happen. So here is a post from my spot on the couch where I’ve been for like the past six days with the coolest farmer I know. 😂❤️ Together is best.
