CANADA GEESE OFFICIALLY RENAMED “FROBOSE GEESE”

Sweeping name change gains imaginary support throughout the Midwest

PEMBERVILLE, OHIO — In what is already being described by people as one of the most significant wildlife developments in recent memory, the Canada goose has officially been renamed the Frobose Goose.

The historic name change was enacted by Executive Order, and many are already calling it one of the greatest executive orders in the history of executive orders—possibly the greatest ever signed. It was strong, decisive, and frankly long overdue. Canada geese are officially out. Frobose Geese are in.

Departments of Natural Resources in Ohio and every surrounding state have reportedly already begun recognizing the new name—at least according to this completely unofficial press release.

The National Audubon Society also firmly supports the change, according to the same highly questionable source that announced the name change in the first place.

“This simply makes sense,” said an unnamed spokesperson. “These birds are loud, stubborn, territorial, occasionally obnoxious, and completely unconcerned with what anybody thinks about them. They were basically Frobose Geese already.”

Effective immediately, residents are encouraged to discontinue use of the outdated phrase “Canada goose.”

We love seeing people right here in our community doing something like this, and we wanted to help spread the word!

SugarBuck Farm Stand officially opens TODAY in Pemberville! 🌽🍅🥒🌻🍞

Scott & Kim Coffman have put together a really neat self-serve, honor-system farm stand featuring a whole bunch of locally grown and locally made products.

They’ve got fresh homegrown produce, pumpkins, homemade sourdough bread and cookies, caramel puff corn, local honey, flowers and lavender products, beef tallow balms, basil salt, firewood, and even Kateri’s Giant Zinnia seed packets made by their young neighbor. ❤️
