Machias, Maine! We’ll be playing a FREE show at Bad Little Falls on Sunday, May 31, as part of the Greenhorns’ “For All the Fish” environmental conference and concert. We’re looking forward to catching sets from our friends The Milk & Honey Rebellion and The Midnight Riders, and to spending a day in beautiful Downeast Maine, and hope you can join us!

Pembroke in the springtime, abundance!!! Updates from over here:
Happy seaweed harvesters from near and far at our Low Low Tides workshop thank you for guiding us, learning together in the intertidal zone, the lowest of the low means the squish of the tidal flats emerges. Towheaded children all around the farm and Sarah is here and we’re cleaning up, painting fish fish fish for days, getting ready for the Alewife Festival this Saturday 10am-5pm bring your kids, bring your bikes, bring your parents, bring your friends. And the weekend after is our big FOR ALL THE FISH weekend with : Saturday is the Fish Paint-a-Thon with and at , followed by a chef-cooked dinner at , and on Sunday we host a free conference in the morning and a concert at night, all in Machias, featuring headlining with local food and drinks from and scientists and biologists and the people doing the work to protect the wild fish of our shared wild waters. LIVE MUSIC AT THE ALEWIFE FESTIVAL MAY 23 IN PEMBROKE 🎶🎤💓

We are delighted to present an all-star line-up of local music at the Alewife Festival.

🍁🍯The Maple Honeys (Lucy Zwigard & Anna Carter) play sweet and earthy folk tunes and soft pop classics. Led by guitar, percussion and female vocals, their strong harmony and steady rhythm provides a warm and heartfelt experience for all.

🐟🤵🏻‍♂️🤵‍♂️Fish Husbands features Andy Radin (fiddle) and Adam Steinberg (guitar) playing tunes from the Celtic traditions of Ireland, Quebec, Cape Breton (Nova Scotia), and Scotland. Rooted in Irish pubs and Eastern Canadian kitchen parties, this is music for dancing or simply sharing the room. With a deep feel for the tradition and an expressive, engaging approach, they move easily from driving reels and jigs to intimate, lyrical airs.

🎸 Adam Steinberg is an award-winning songwriter and multi-instrumentalist known for his emotionally resonant songs that blend Americana, rock, and singer-songwriter traditions. A Grammy Award Official Participant and RIAA Diamond Award recipient, he has worked with artists including Patty Griffin, Sheryl Crow, and The Chicks, bringing a powerful, intimate presence to every performance.

Enjoy the tunes while you lounge in the grass or dance in the garden. Tune in while working on your beach trash puppet, checking out the fish smoker, before your walk alongside the river to see the fish, or after returning from your bike ride or canoe paddle.

Thank you WIC - Hancock & Washington Counties for the visit to our farmstore and especially thank you for recognizing us with an award! Proud to accept WIC!

On Friday, WIC staff was able to swing by the grand opening of Smithereen Farm’s Farmstore to deliver their Eat More Fruits and Veggies Award for Washington County! They will be accepting WIC Farmers Market through your BNFT app again this year at their beautiful storefront or when you catch them at local farmers markets.
