Moose 🫎

We miss this boy so much, it makes it so much easier knowing he has an absolutely amazing home and an owner that both her and her husband (willingly or voluntold?) enjoy riding and caring for him ❤️.

Breeding is so fulfilling when our horses get placed in homes like theirs where we get to be a part of their horse community, but it is also sometimes hard- we want the best for all our horses and sometimes we don't get to stay in their next chapters.

Cannot thank Tara enough for being such a great impromptu friend and Moose parent.

Earlier this month this boy officially started the weaning process. A few weeks before the "official" date we start separating the babies from mom in the evening, usually with other weanlings or other horses they know. They then are turned out as usual during the day.

Finally, their "official" day comes, and they just aren't returned to mom in the morning. We have found this way to cause less stress on the baby (usually by weaning day our mommas are so ready for the babies to be on their own!!).

Mr. Cinco (officially named by his new owner!!) took it all in stride.

His papers are pending and all the processes to get him shipped to his new home are in progress!

We are SO EXCITED to watch his next chapters ❤️
