Full rainbow over the orchard tonight, with a clear violet outstanding. We discovered the loss of a saddening amount of trees today (a trellis line fell as the remnants of hurricane Debby passed) - which always fills me with grief. The rainbow was like a small and beautiful moment of remembrance for them.

Pick and press 2023 officially in the books. Not an enormous volume, but some varieties we have never had enough maturity to harvest survived the frost. Looking forward to some interesting new blends. Time to experience the excitement of some high initial brix fermentation! 🤗
