fortifying coupe !
metal flooring stapled to wood , then wood screwed in over metal , then bricks on top of metal ! and killing mice, rats and racc**ns .

mice had eaten thru the water jug nozzles had to switch to metal .

Roosters can be hard to manage ! This brahma hen was the smallest in the flock . She developed wounds from repeated pecking and mounting ...... I will nurse her back to health. Have irrigated and cleansed her wound, and will be applying hen healer ointment . Her wound should close by secondary intention. The key is avoiding continuous pecking.
The wound has healthy granulation tissue without signs of active infection. I expect her to do well !

My big guy survived a racc**n attack ! see all the feathers .... c**n tried to pull him thru the fence,but couldn't then the c**n went to eat food in the cage!

Our eggs come from pasture raised hens!.....They have deep orange yolks that have thick velvet texture and a deep buttery flavor!
