Artisan bread
What’s that mean to us here at The Bakery 04476?
Every baker and small producer will have there own definition and really, If their hands, care and passion were involved then they all fall under artisan. Our special relationship with the word and what make our production special is that our dough is 100% hand mixed. No Hobarts here! Just very hard work. We do have a large mixer. But it has never turned on. We do everything by hand. Hundreds of pounds of flour and water moved every week! For your pleasure. This is the way someone’s nanna did it and it’s the way we do it to. This is the critical reason our bread is the way it is. Technique And consistency, old simple food knowledge.
