Self blues are something that Tony really been working on for a while now. It is finally starting to payoff and imma keep hatching.
My baby sister is house/dog/chicken sitting for us this weekend so I drew a map. It had to be redone because Tony said it was confusing. The new ones color coded 😂.

Got back at a decent time yesterday and unpacked everything fairly quickly.
Tony got to tinkering with the incubators Dianne Timmons with Castleton Silkies gifted us. They are working! Doggies both wanted to be out with us even though it was hot.
While that was going on I gave another shot at making a brisket. The last one I tied a few years ago was mehhh, but this turned out jiggly like my belly. 😝

We had a great time at the first swap meet that Kendra Homesley with Homesley Homestead put on this weekend.
Thanks for the cookies from Chelsea Love with Chelsea’s Chickens and cake pops from Aimee Gaddy with The Feathered Barn. 😋
Tony was busy, busy, busy since we got there yesterday. We are going home with approximately 109 birds less.

Tony is all set up and awake. I’m awake but back in bed already! 😆
A lot of birds are already set up by other breeders and many more on their way.
We wanted to thank Dianne Timmons at Castleton Silkies for the two vintage incubators. Can’t wait to get them cranked up and filled with 🥚 eggs.

On our way to Anniston, AL for the swap. Looking forward to seeing other chicken people.
We are bringing silkies (black, white, splash blue, paint), Ameracaunas (blue, splash, black), buff and white rocks, a Brahma, and sumatras.

Taking the heat one day at a time right now…constantly thinking of the birds in this heat.
Yesterday Tony and I were invited to play kickball with friends and others in our community. We are both a little broken so we went to cheer everyone on. We had a blast and had lots of laughs.
Today we went to dinner on the beach to celebrate Tony’s mommas birthday.
