Hawaii holds a special place in my heart, not because I’ve lived there, but because I’ve had the incredible opportunity to visit several times over the years. In fact I just got to be part of the local community of Big Island for two weeks this spring and will be visiting my Maui Ohana next year. Growing up as a military child and wife, having lived on the tropical island of Okinawa, Hawaii feels like a beautiful connection to some of the best parts of my childhood. As a Pacific Islander myself, the flavors, textures, colors, and culture of the islands aren’t just something I love, they’re part of me! I’m so excited to share a little piece of that connection with you in our upcoming Hawaiian cooking class🌺🌴
