Hi there! Here’s are some important updates about this weekend and the future.
As a lot of yall know in addition to being a cook/baker, I’m also a b***y shaker and money maker (for other people ha!) I am in 2 bands and every year for the past 13 my friends and I put together a Fundraiser event called Lady Fest. It highlights ladies, femmes, g**s, and thems in the arts and music. It helps give folks a chance to shine and party together in a safe environment, while raise money for worthy causes. That being said…it’s A LOT OF WORK. LF is Aug 27-29th this year….So this week the Pretty Baked kitchen at bettys_on_belmont will be open Wed & Thursday. We’ll have Wiener Wednesday and Mystic Ramen, plus most of our menu. Friday and Saturday Betty’s will have lots of delicious snacks for you!
We will return to regular hours next week…..UNDER A NEW NAME AND MENU. Pretty Baked will still exist as my bakery. The Food Truck is currently on a hiatus. It needs some serious TLC and repairs which I cannot afford to do at this time. So for now I will continue to bake at Cafe Single Fin, still take special orders for desserts, etc and eventually set up at events again.
The only difference will be the pop up at Betty’s will be under a different name, Fay’s (after my Japanese Grandmother) and the menu is changing slightly. It’s more a collaboration now and I’m excited to experiment and have fun.
TLDR: only open wed&thurs this week. Betty’s will have their menu Fri and Sat. Pop Up is changing over to Fay’s in September but Pretty Baked will still exist and be taking special orders for cakes and sweets.
