Always such a treat to journey back up to the Carolinas and even more so to celebrate the resiliency of our friends Zillicoah Beer Co. as this was the first Session Fest since the devastation of Helene.

Delightful weather. Incredible lineup. Exquisite liquids. And all on the banks of the mighty French Broad River. Thanks for the immaculate hospitality, Zillicoah!

Join us today (Sun, Aug 30) for a special pop-up with Chef Dream of Pranom from 12-6pm (or sold out!)

Dream Kasestatad, the chef behind this amazing pop-up, comes from four generations of Thai restaurant owners. He started cooking Pad Thai out of his LA apartment and delivering it by bike to friends, bars & neighborhood spots. One night, while slinging noodles in a parking lot, he was discovered by a senior food editor from Eater and LA Weekly, his story landed on the cover, and the buzz hasn’t stopped since.

Since then, Dream’s traveled the country with his pop-up, starred in The Noodle Man on Amazon Prime, and had his Khao Soi featured on the cover of Los Angeles Street Food: (American Palate). Now he’s bringing his bold, flavorful Thai street food to Odd Colony for one day only, don’t miss it!

Anywho, The mini van haul was bountiful to say the least. We trekked a bit north yesterday and picked up 500 lbs of the juiciest, late season peaches Chilton County had to offer. Today we’ll process and integrate them into a charming little seasonal saison we have fermenting at the moment. 

Y’all come celebrate the quickly evaporating summer with globetrotter serving up their delectable fare out front this evening!

ARCHEOLOGY ON TAP TONIGHT! 6:30PM

Join us for another great evening with Florida Public Archaeology Network’s Archeology on Tap and Dr. Richard Pettigrew as they discuss “The Taraia Object Expedition: Inspection of Possible Amelia Earhart Aircraft” with Dr. Richard Pettigrew from the Archaeological Legacy Institute.

The 2020 online discovery of a visual anomaly (the Taraia Object) in the shallow waters of Nikumaroro Island lagoon in the South Pacific prompted several years of additional data acquisition and further research. This work has led to the Taraia Object Expedition (TOE), now planned to embark by ship from Tarawa, Kiribati, on October 7, 2026. The singular purpose of the TOE is the direct inspection of the Taraia Object, which is quite possibly wreckage of the missing Lockheed Model 10E Electra aircraft flown by Amelia Earhart during her ill-fated attempt to be the first person to fly around the world at the equator. In this presentation, Dr. Pettigrew will summarize the evidence for the Object and its interpretation as well as the plans for remote sensing and test excavation to establish its identity. UWF and Recon offshore archaeologists will be supporting this mission.

Today we’re hosting our pals just down the tracks from 309 Punk Project in the event space for their Zine Workshop from 6-8pm! Bring all of your ideas and they’ll bring all of the materials.

To pair with the occasion we’re releasing Crate Digger ~ American Pilsner. A summertime crusher featuring the choicest of American malts, water from our Floridian aquifer, our clean fermenting house lager yeast, and Anchovy hops. Anchovy hops are known to showcase watermelon hard candy, raspberry, and forestial undertones reminiscent of the panhandle pine groves. Draught only!
