Today was the final day of our 2026 Summer Camp Season, and what a season it was! The longest in our history. But also the smoothest overall- welcoming more than 80 kids and staff to your home every day has its challenges, but this Summer held A LOT of joy and funny moments. Today is also our SEVENTH anniversary of owning this Farm. And, I was thinking about the number seven. Perhaps I broke a mirror in the move or walked under a ladder because we certainly had seven years of some pretty serious bad luck. I told Eric that I am the same person I was in 2019, but also so very different. I definitely am older. My body is a bit broken. But I am much more confident in what is ahead. Because with the bad luck also came learning to ask for help. Learning to not sweat the small stuff. Learning how to do a lot of things I didn't know how to do because all of the money was going to paying debts caused by big problems. I made a lot of new friends and our clients are simply the best. We have so many more animals- and so many who needed us and in turn give us so much love. I learned to rely on twenty minutes and a cup of tea to reset my brain rather than to panic. I sit here tonight listening to the evening sounds at my window in a messy kitchen with an old cat trying to walk on my computer keyboard, and I am excited about the next seven years. Because I think today the curse came to an end- if you are into that superstitious stuff.

Well, we are in the final homestretch- the last camp standing- before the end of our 2026 Camp Season. Staff and I agreed it was one for the record books. Lovely weather, happy animals, great kids and staff and a very smooth season. But this post is not really about Summer. It is about FALL. FALL on the Farm in all of its glory. Our Fall programming is now available online from Trick or Treat to the Animals, our famous Parents' Nights Out, Pony Love and Horse Love and our day-off-of-school Workshops. And our famous Apple Pie Baking Day is back on the schedule as well as many others (this one sells out the fastest- so yummy)!

These sell out fast, so please do not delay! You can find our offerings online:

A moment to brag . . . That handsome moderator of a Democratic Town Hall in my hometown in PA is my Dad. 81 years young. He taught my sister and I the importance of being a citizen and taking part in your community and your future. Way to go, Dad!

Robbie has been with us for most of the Summer and has fallen in love with horses- but not riding them. He finally told me it’s because he needs his feet closer to the ground. So, Zeus, our former circus-mini, to the rescue! Pretty sure there is not a cuter pair! After a Summer loving on a bunch of beloved horses, we finally got Robbie ON a horse. And his feet are very close to the ground.❤️🐴

We were all seated under my favorite afternoon tree enjoying the shade and breeze and Storytime and someone decided to join us for a freezer pop and a bunch of snuggles. Red is a former huge race horse (Standardbred) who had MANY homes and jobs until he landed here at our Farm. Now he enjoys retirement in a huge happy pasture and his only job is to be adored by all. Gentle. Gorgeous. 17 plus hands of wonderful.

Just a heads up- our Fall parties are fully booked (cannot fit one more in on the calendar), our Fall workshops and classes are planned and will go online tomorrow, and on my calendar, I wrote the magical word of VACATION . . . a word I have not written in 7 years. Who knows, we might just end up 7 nights in Nashua at The Motel 6, but I really do not care at this point. Just need to get off the Farm and find a piece of myself I thought I completely lost. Been a plow horse for too long. Time to be a filly in the field with my dear family for at least a few days!
We are now booking parties for post- November into 2027. And stay tuned tomorrow for our popular series of Fall Events and Workshops!

Storytime for Wednesday, August 12:
Summer is here, we are deep into our camp season, and we know many of you have been missing our beloved STORYTIME! We will host Ponies and Pajamas Storytime this Wednesday night from 6-7:30pm. Feel free to dress your kiddos in jammies if you think they will fall asleep on the car ride home! This is also a wonderful event for older school-age children and their families. This week, we celebrate the complete and utter beauty of the Earth and of the Farm with Miss Maple's Seeds and Once Upon Another Time. We will enjoy all of the wildflowers on the Farm and do a wildflower art project. Plus, of course, pony rides and visiting the animals!
Parking begins at 5:50 (NO EARLY BIRDS PLEASE- We have a parking system). Storytime is from 6-7:30pm. $10 per child. $20 family limit. Cash or Venmo accepted. For ages 2 and up, however, little sibs are welcome! 12 Bancroft St, Pepperell, MA. Storytime ends promptly at 7:30pm as Miss Emily needs to prep the Farm for camp for the next day! Thank you
