With the warmer weather arriving, our team has been busy irrigating our fields to ensure every roll of sod we cut is fresh, hydrated, and ready for your lawn. Proper irrigation is the backbone of a high-quality sod product, and we carefully monitor our fields.

Whether running water tankers or setting up irrigation lines, we stay dedicated to providing the best local sod for your home and commercial projects.

If you are planning a summer project, remember that new sod needs plenty of water to thrive once it's installed! For the first three days, we recommend watering twice per day (between 5–10 AM and 4–7 PM) for 45 minutes each time to keep it completely saturated.

"Why doesn’t everyone buy their sod from Shan-Gri-La Sod Farm?!!!

I can offer no good reason why everyone shouldn't.
This will be a longer review. If you’re reading this, you might want to grab a beverage and a snack ...

I’m just a homeowner, but when I was younger, I owned a small landscaping company. I’ve been dealing with Shan-Gri-La for over 30 years! As you can imagine, GOOGLE reviews didn't exist back then - it's time for me to stand up and give a shout out to this fabulous business!

I’ve purchased small orders and larger delivered orders in this span!

The reason to choose them originally was because the turf they sell is Tall fescue!
If what you know about turf types is that Kentucky Bluegrass is good, then you’ll be glad to be introduced to Tall Fescue! This makes for a very durable and lovely product to create a lawn your neighbors will envy!

So, that’s reason number 1. And, this could easily be all you need to know!

But wait - there’s more!

The place is beautiful. If you go there to take delivery of your order, you’ll see what I mean!

The people there are incredible! This is probably the best part, although they had me at “Tall Fescue.”

Sheldon is the Farm Manager. He really knows his stuff! He’s eager to share what he knows! Kimberly works in the office and may be the one to take your order. She makes sure your order is ready when you need it. She is exceedingly delightful to deal with. Randy is one of their drivers - this guy is super helpful, too!

These folks are nice! You might hope for that. But these folks are really nice. As in, nicer than you would even expect! They do everything that you would need. But, with great care! Offering an impressively personable engagement! They love what they do and who they do it for! And, it shows!
